THE INDUSTRIAL FILMS

I learned to make movies by shooting these films. We had technical and financial means at our disposal and demanding clients. So-called "industrial" films (or "corporate" films) teach you to be meticulous and also constitute an amazing breeding ground for creativity. At the same time, they allowed me to get to know extremely diverse professional backgrounds. I still feel that these industrial worlds remain an incredible source of inspiration for both characters and set design, an area neglected by French cinema.

As designer and/or director, I have shot around one hundred 35-mm films for major French companies such as Renault, Peugeot, SNCF, PTT, EDF, etc., including the following:

- "La Katydide", 35 mm, 20 min, for PTT (Grand Prize at the Biarritz Festival) - "Magic Circus", 3-D film shot in the USA on 70 mm Stereovision stock, 12 min, for Renault - "Top chrono", Omnimax with 3 cameras, 8 min, for Renault F1 (Monaco Grand Prix) - Several films in the Cinemascope multi-screen format for giant screenings at Renault international conventions bringing together audiences of five to ten thousand people.
